Project Overview

The goal for this project was to achieve a layout design fitting for a sports magazine cover. I had never made a magazine cover before, and with the Olympics going on recently I became inspired to make it about sports. It took a while to decide what sport I wanted to use, but after some time I realized I wanted to highlight a sport that isn’t as popular: badminton. Let’s say my client was Badminton Times, and they needed a cover featuring Annie Linh, a Vietnamese badminton player who recently made her entrance onto the big screens. It was crucial that the cover design could be translated into Vietnamese as well, without the text moving around too much or changing the overall design.
